Multitasking is the process of doing two or more things at once to save time. The result is usually mediocre. So I try to avoid it, for that reason and because of a lack of energy. I leave that shit to the LinkedIn Lunatics; they can have it. I paused on book three when she worked on book one, and I might have to do so again. Right now I’m plugging away at book three, but the narrator will start work on book two soon. Still, I hope to get as much done as I can before then.

Everything is coming up Zoidberg
Books one and two are fixed and out in the world once more. Feline fugitives is going to get narrated soon, but I’m more excited about my progress on book three. It will be the end of the Neko trilogy, and I can start work on a new project. I love writing their adventures, but keeping things consistent has been challenging. That will happen when you just make stuff up and spend zero time on world-building.

SHAME RING
The first book has been rewritten, and I am less ashamed of the quality. I have also delisted the second book for now; Feline Fugitives should be up again come August.
Rewrites
I’ve had to shift gears lately. Since my experience making the first book into an audiobook, I’m revisiting the second book before moving on to the third. Since I’m the only one who goes to this site, I’m only disappointing myself. Although I’m also disappointed with myself. Look at me multitasking.
Sound progress
The audiobook is almost done. I’ve learned a lot from the process, including how much I missed. Sometimes you have to hear it out loud. I’ve republished, so once all the outlets update, my book should be much better, or at least less of an embarrassment.
A book you can hear.
I’m working with a narrator to turn the first book into an audiobook. It’s humbling in two ways. I don’t know what I’m doing, and hearing it out loud has let me notice some errors that my editor and I missed. If you already have a copy of the book, I apologize. I’ll be republishing a corrected version when the audiobook goes out.
Neko’s War: Feline Fugitives is out.
It’s what’s on the tin. The second book in my series has been released, and I am also looking into turning the first book into an audiobook.

FREE BOOK: or as close to free as the platforms allow.
from 4/22/26 to 5/11, I’ve had Draft2Digital run a promotion for my ebook. The cost will be zero, or as close to zero as the platform will allow. I’m announcing this a day late, I know, but that’s life.
Progress and proof of life
I’m alive. Now for some good news, my second book is in the hands of a line editor. I also have an artist working on the cover. I can only hope my writing work doesn’t drop in quality like a certain meme.

Back from the editor.
Mt editor really is a saint, slogging through all my errors. Now comes the least fun part, revision. I’m grateful to live in a time when contacting editors and self-publishing have never been easier. Still, it’s hard to get noticed in a sea of AI-generated content. I promise my readers that every word comes from the dictionary, but every sentence and story comes from me. For better or worse, it’s all me. Although it wouldn’t be possible without the editors.
